Head of Sales- Americas (Fund Admin)

Overview:
A leading global financial services provider is seeking a high-performing, results-driven Head of Sales to lead and accelerate growth across the Americas for its Fund Administration division. This is a pivotal leadership role for a dynamic business builder who thrives on generating and closing significant new revenue, pushing boundaries, and leading a high-impact sales team focused on capturing market share across hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and institutional fund managers.
The ideal candidate will bring an “always-on” sales mindset, a deep understanding of the alternative investment landscape, and a proven ability to exceed ambitious commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Generation
- Own the Americas sales P&L with a sharp focus on surpassing quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Lead the full sales lifecycle—from pipeline creation to deal closure and client onboarding.
- Develop and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy aimed at high-growth asset managers and institutional investors.
- Drive large, complex transactions while maintaining momentum across smaller deals.
Pipeline Development
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and industry engagement.
- Leverage personal and professional networks to gain early access to RFPs and key decision-makers.
- Partner with marketing and lead generation teams to optimize conversion rates and accelerate sales cycles.
Market Strategy & Commercial Acumen
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to position differentiated solutions.
- Identify high-margin opportunities and craft compelling commercial proposals.
- Provide feedback to influence product and service development based on market insights.
Team Leadership & Performance Culture
- Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team with a focus on accountability and results.
- Set ambitious KPIs and quotas, and foster a culture of urgency, resilience, and success.
- Promote a collaborative, high-energy environment that drives performance.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Deliver regular reporting on sales metrics, forecasts, pipeline health, and client activity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure seamless execution and scalable growth.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in financial services sales, with at least 5 years in fund administration or a closely related field (e.g., prime brokerage, custody, fund platforms).
- Proven track record of exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets in complex B2B environments.
- Deep understanding of fund administration services across hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and real estate.
- Strong network of buy-side executives, fund managers, COOs, and CFOs across North and/or Latin America.
- Exceptional negotiation, commercial strategy, and closing skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business judgment and a bias for action.
